The spring-summer brilliance of nammoorina hunashi gida...

It's that time of the year folks. When the sweltering heat sends our heads spinning. But then, na ture always has a lovely plan up its sleeve, to balance that.

The hunshihann gidas/tamarind trees all over Dharwad are flush with young tender leaves and pretty little flowers. These old old trees, not just provide a cool shady respite from the scorching summer sun, they also gift us a brilliant visual treat.

I managed to step out this morning (Though a bit late at 7.45 ) with my nephew in tow, while the rest of the house still snored away to glory (Disco included). I have been eyeing these tamarind trees along the road between KCD circle and Dasankoppa circle since they began to sport their first few tender ochre-orange-copper-bronze-green (Almost fluorescent) leaves at the tips a few days back. And was waiting eagerly for a chance to step out early one morning to try and capture a small portion of this spring-summer stunning tamarind tree-phenomenon. And I am more than excited I managed to make it today.
